Dr. Yolanda Dawson, author of Chosen by God Overlooked by Man, is a native of Southern California and educator that has worked in the field of higher education for the past 14 years. She has lead, counseled, and encouraged hundreds of college students to achieve personal success. Dr. Yolanda earned her Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University and continues to seek opportunities to learn about the field of personal development.

Dr. Yolanda began writing in journals filled with short stories, dreams and creative ideas at a very young age. She continues to put ‘pen to paper’ and write words that brings glory to God. She delights in writing poems, songs and speeches that encourage persistence and faith. Dr. Yolanda has been featured on KCWG the Truth, internet radio, as host and guest speaker reaching out to others through prayer and words of encouragement.

What motivates Dr. Yolanda is her personal mission statement which is “To encourage, inspire and speak words of wisdom that will create permanent change in the lives of others”. One of her favorite scripture that supports her mission is “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”-Proverbs 27:17
